This mural, designed by Wade Lambrigtsen, was supposed to be painted on site at the Olney, IL Walldog mural festival in 2020. Naturally, with the complications of the pandemic, we had to push back the event and ended up painting this mural with a much smaller group at Wade’s farm in Menominee, WI. The mural was painted on panels that were later transported and installed in Olney.  While a typical Walldog festival normally has hundreds of muralists and sign painters come together to paint 10 to 15 murals from start to finish in one town (in just 5 days!), I think our own little Walldog was definitely special and still in line with the Walldog spirit of painting something bigger than life with friends old and new.
